I am what you might call ruefully flattered that people seem more interested in the Cook Book than anything else I’m doing… At any rate, I’m wasting an awful lot of time adding recipes and anecdotes. As if I really need another form of escapism!

‘Inspired idea Roger! It could be made very entertaining and a necessary corrective to much modern cookery writing which seems to call for impossibly esoteric ingredients that people who don’t live in W14 can’t get hold of. It sounds like the sort of book I’d like to give my children when they are ready to fly the nest.
And now, I think, for a spot of lunch…    Love, Kirsty’

‘A cursory glance tells me we’re kindred spirits. Life is definitely too short for Nescafe! Catherine’

‘Dear Roger – your cookbook and anecdotes are simply mouth-watering!  Luv, Jac’
